Savoring the Wildflower Experience: Introducing Wildflower Wine & 15°C
At Wildflower, the experience has always gone far beyond the race itself. It’s about the energy, the community, the campfires, and the moments shared in between the swim, bike, and run. This year, that tradition continues with a fresh take on a familiar favorite — Wildflower Wine — thoughtfully curated by 15°C to reflect the spirit of the Central Coast and the Wildflower community.

Wildflower Wine: A Taste of the Central Coast
Wildflower Wine was created with intention. Both the rosé and red offerings come from Eden House Vineyard & Farm at Carriage Vineyards, an estate organic farm in Templeton, right in the heart of California’s Central Coast wine country. That local connection matters. Just like the course itself, the wine tells a story of the region: its landscape, its people, and its craft.
The rosé is made from Grenache and is light, crisp, and refreshing—perfect for a warm afternoon out at the lake. The red is a blend of Grenache and Syrah, with a bit more depth and structure, but still smooth and easy to enjoy whether you’re relaxing at camp or unwinding after a long day.
Behind the winemaking is Mike Siener of Siener Valley, a respected figure in the local wine industry with more than 30 years of experience. His work with numerous Central Coast wineries adds another layer of authenticity to the Wildflower Wine. This isn’t outsourced or generic. It’s local, experienced, and thoughtfully crafted.
Meet 15°C: Community-Driven and Experience-Focused
The driving force behind Wildflower Wine is Ali Rush, founder of 15°C, a Central Coast–based wine and beverage company focused on curating meaningful, local experiences. 15°C isn’t just about selling wine it’s about creating a connection between people and place.
Ali is a Cal Poly graduate and trained sommelier. She built 15°C with a deep appreciation for the Central Coast and its producers. Her senior project laid the groundwork for what would eventually become the company; hand-selecting standout local wines and beverages and bringing them into curated, approachable settings.
Even more meaningful is her connection to Wildflower itself. Ali volunteered at the event during her time at Cal Poly with the water polo team and has experienced the event firsthand. She understands what makes Wildflower unique, not just as a race, but as a community gathering.
Enjoying Wildflower Wine at the Festival
You’ll find Wildflower Wine at the 15°C booth in the festival area. Whether you’re celebrating a finish, catching up with friends, or simply taking a break between events, the festival area offers a relaxed, welcoming environment to unwind and connect.
Both the rosé and red Wildflower wines will be available by the glass or by the bottle. Beyond wine, 15°C is also bringing a broader selection of local beverages to the event. Draft beer will be available, along with six-packs of local craft beer, seltzers, and hard kombucha.
Guests can enjoy their drinks within the festival area, bring them back to their campsites, or even take bottles home to extend the Wildflower experience beyond the weekend. It’s a small detail, but one that reflects a bigger idea, Wildflower isn’t just a moment. It’s something you carry with you.
So whether you’re raising a glass after crossing the finish line, sharing a bottle with friends at camp, or simply taking a moment to enjoy the view, Wildflower Wine is there to be part of the experience.
Because at Wildflower, it’s never just about the race.
