You don’t earn the title “King of Wildflower” by accident.
You earn it through dominance, consistency, and a deep understanding of one of the most iconic and demanding courses in triathlon. And no one embodies that more than Jesse Thomas.
This year, he’s back.
A Legacy Built on the Course
Jesse Thomas isn’t just a past champion—he’s the Wildflower champion.
With six consecutive long-course victories, Thomas defined an era of racing on this course. Year after year, he showed what it looks like to not only compete at the highest level, but to truly master the terrain, the conditions, and the mental grind that Wildflower demands.
His success wasn’t luck. It was strategy, resilience, and an unmatched connection to the race itself.
Back as Guest of Honor
While Thomas won’t be racing this year, his presence will still be felt across the entire weekend.
As Wildflower’s official Guest of Honor, he’ll be a central part of the festival — giving athletes, fans, and first-timers a rare opportunity to connect with someone who helped shape the race’s legacy.
It’s not often you get access to an athlete with this kind of history at a course like this. At Wildflower, that’s part of what makes the experience different.
A Rare Opportunity to Hear His Perspective
On Friday, May 1 from 5:00–5:30 p.m., Jesse Thomas will take the Festival Main Stage for a live Q&A session.
He’ll share insights from his historic winning streak, reflect on his life after professional racing, and answer questions directly from the Wildflower community.
For newer athletes, it’s a chance to learn from one of the best to ever race the course. For returning competitors, it’s an opportunity to hear the stories behind the performances that helped define Wildflower’s reputation.
More Than a Champion
What sets Jesse Thomas apart isn’t just the results—it’s the perspective he brings.
He understands what makes Wildflower special. The challenge. The community. The feeling of showing up to a course that demands everything you have and gives something back in return.
That’s the kind of insight you can’t get from a race recap or a training plan. It comes from years of experience, and a genuine connection to the sport.

Be Part of the Moment
Wildflower has always been about more than racing. It’s about the people, the stories, and the shared experience of being part of something bigger.
Having Jesse Thomas back on site is a reminder of that legacy—and a chance to be part of it.
Make time for the Q&A. Show up early. Ask a question. Take it in.
Because moments like this don’t come around often.
