The Collegiate Team Challange will be held during the Olympic Distance Triathlon (1.5 kilometer lake swim, 40 kilometer bike, and 10 kilometer run).
The Wildflower Collegiate Team Challange has individual and team categories in which colleges can participate. College Triathletes, (Undergraduate and Graduate) currently enrolled in a college or university, during the current school year, and carrying at least 9 units concurrently; or a letter from the college for special program status with less than 9 units, are eligible to participate.
The individual categories will include male and female divisions, in an open age group. The top three male and female finishers will receive a special commemorative award plaque. Fourth through tenth place finishers will receive medals.
In the team competition, the top three male and female team members’ times are combined for a total team time. Awards will be presented to the top five teams and their team members.
Tri-Club Challenge
The three clubs with the most accumulated points from all club members for the weekend will receive custom awards.
Scoring: 5 points for each finisher. Then for each 1st – 10th place age group finisher, they receive points in the following manner:
1st place gets 10 pts, 2nd get 9 pts, etc… 10th place gets 1 pts.
Add up all points for all team members to determine the team score.
Tri-Team 6 Pack Challenge
Plaques will be awarded to the top three triathlon teams in the Long Course and Olympic Distance triathlons. In the 6 Pack Challenge, the top three male and female team members’ times are combined for a total team time.
Relay Teams Challenge
The Wildflower Experience will award specially designed podium medals will be awarded to the 1st – 5th place finishers in each age group division for Long Course and Olympic Course races.

Long Course Swim Elite Challenge
Only participants registered as Elite qualify for this Challenge. The winners will be the first Male and Female out of the water (not based on timing mat split).
Nasty Grade Elite Challenge
Only participants registered as Elite qualify for this Challenge. The winner will be the first Male and Female Elites to the top of Nasty Grade.
Long Course Run Elite Challenge
Only participants registered as Elite qualify for this Challenge. The winner will be the first Male and Female to make the Clif Bar Run Turn-around.
