The Wildflower Experience Announces Speed Hound as Official Swim Training Sponsor

MONTEREY, Calif.– Motiv Sports announced today that Speed Hound will be the official swim training sponsor of the 35^th annual Wildflower Triathlon, which will be held May 4-6^th, 2018 near Paso Robles, California. The iconic event is renowned for its legendary triathlon and festival experience, which will feature local musicians, restaurateurs, and businesses. Over 5,000 athletes and 15,000 spectators are set to return to the campgrounds and race course at Lake San Antonio in Monterey, CA.

Speed Hound will be providing the official Wildflower swim cap, which is made of high-quality, comfortable silicone. Speed Hound, a Bay Area-based company, is founded by Sam Chi, a runner-turned-triathlete who is passionate about helping other athletes achieve their goals through inspiration, information, and high-quality products. “As an age-grouper myself, I understand the challenges that often come with juggling work and family.  The sport of triathlon has given me the confidence to drive towards achieving my goals in other dimensions of my life that I did not think was possible,” said Sam.

You can visit the Speed Hound booth at the Wildflower Lifestyle Expo, which will be held Friday from 12-6 pm, Saturday, from 9am-6pm, and Sunday from 9am -4pm. Wildflower athletes and spectators will be able to test out the Speed Hound products, including their swim buoys, transition mats, dry bags, quick-dry towels, and waterproof phone cases during the demo sessions. Check the schedule of events for Speed Hound gear demos that will be taking place on Friday morning at Lake San Antonio.  Additionally, anyone who registers for the race between April 18-April 26 will be entered into a raffle to win a swim buoy or transition mat. Five winners will be randomly drawn and prizes can be picked up at the Speed Hound booth. Throughout the Wildflower weekend, Speed Hound will also be providing daily giveaways for athletes who stop by the booth.

The swim caps will be used by athletes who compete in the renowned Wildflower Triathlon long-course race, which will kick off at 8:00 AM on Saturday, May 5^th with a 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile bike leg, and a 13.1 mile run. The swim caps will also be used in the Off-Road Sprint Triathlon, which will follow the Long-Course race at 9:45 AM as well as in the On-Road Sprint Triathlon, and Olympic Distance Triathlon, which will be held on Sunday, May 6^th.
